Happy New Year and 2012 recap
Happy New Year all!!!! I hope this message finds you all in good spirits and happiness. Our New Year's Eve was super uneventful this year. I had to work until 8 and didnt get home until almost 9, so we had a drink, chilled for a bit and then went to bed at 11.....yes, lame.....I know. Anyways, I had to be back to work today so our festivities will have to wait. 2012 was an interesting year with lots of good changes, some unexpected, but VERY welcome. Here is a recap of 2012:
January- an uneventful month.
February- We went to Salt Lake and Las Vegas for five days over Valentine's Day.
March- Zoe turned 4 and Bella turned six. We had Zoe's party at Pojos and Bella's at Bounce.
April- My 28th birthday.
May- Bella finished her first year of school and had kindergarten graduation.
June- Louis and I went to California for a week.
July- Louis and I went to SE Idaho for a few days to see his parents.
August- celebrated 5 years at West Valley. Quit working at West Valley. Zoe started the YMCA preschool program and Bella started first grade at Longfellow.
September- Louis and I moved in to a house together. Got a new job at Primary Health. Rachel turned 7.
October- Halloween with all three girls.
November- Thanksgiving with the girls at nana and papa's house
December- Christmas holiday fun.
That is pretty much it...the year in a itty bitty nutshell!!!

Christmas
We had the most awesome Christmas ever!!! On Christmas Eve we all went over to my moms house and chilled. We had dinner and let the girls open their presents from nana and papa. On Christmas morning nana and papa and myself went over to Jasons house to watch the girls open their presents from him. We had a brunch while over there. Then after that I brough the girls home with me and Louis went and got Rachel and we had Christmas at our house. We did something different this year and it was a BLAST! They each got a certain dollar amount for their main or big gift, then we went to the dollar store and bought them each 20 different junk items and wrapped them all up. Each girl was assigned a color star- Bella was gold, Rachel was green and Zoe was red. The presents were all stickered with the star stickers and the presents were strung all over the place. The girls had to go hunt down all their presents. Once everyone gathered everything up it was time to rip into them. They LOVED it. We had a blast watching them open everything. We have absolutely NO expectations of this stuff to last any more than Christmas day, but thats the fun of it. They all got their big gifts, but then just a bunch of fun stuff to dink around with.

Ricki
Santa Claus sent us an Elf on the Shelf. Bella and Zoe are CONVINCED this thing is real, and letm e tell you it works WONDERS. We have presents under our tree and were having problems keeping Zoe out, as soon as Ricki- our Elf, showed up and started watching their behavior so she could report it to santa....all choas stopped. The presents were left alone and the only words that have to be uttered are ....Ricki is watching. Every night before we go to bed we move her to a different location and in the morning its a race to see who can find her new hiding spot first. It is seriously te coolest thing.
