Hunger Games

Louie and I went to the Hunger Games. Of course I have read the books, but he hasn't. We both really enjoyed it regardless though. I thought they did a pretty good job of sticking pretty close to the book. I can't wait for the rest of them to come out. :)

Twilight Series

So..I'm finally taking the plunge and watching the Twilight movies. I saw Twilight the first day it came out, and wasn't overly impressed so I never bothered to watch the rest of them. BUT, now that all of them but the4 last half of the last one is out- I figured I'd give them all a chance. I want to watch them all in quick succession. I watched Twilight last night and will watch New Moon tonight. Maybe, depending on how late I stay up, I will watch Eclipse too. I'm excited to see the other ones since everyone says they're better than Twilight.

LuLu

Meet LuLu...another female addition to our family. 6 pounds of pure sugar, she is such a sweet girl.

Bella's 6th Birthday

Bella's birthday was last Wednesday, but we started celebrating the night before-I knew she had school the next day till noon then her birthday party that night, so I would get little one on one attention with just Bella. So, on Tuesday night, we went and got some Chinese food and then went and saw the Lorax.

The movie was super cute. We all really liked it. It has lots of upbeat songs and colorful, crazy looking things, so it's right up any kids aisle. EXCEPT obviously Z-O-E up there being all grumpy.  :o)

On Bella's birthday after school we went out to lunch with her dad and nana. We went and got Bella's favorite- Mexican food. She got surprised because the waiters came out and sang to her and brought her some sopapillas. She wasn't crazy about the sopapillas, but she liked that they sang to her.

p.s. - Zo still looks a little rough in this picture, but at least she isn't about to bawl.

after lunch we went home and Bella got to open her presents.

Then after all that it was time to go to Bounce for her birthday party.

Picnic at the Park

Today was such a gorgeous day outside that I decided to take the girls on a picnic at the park. We grabbed some Subway sandwiches and headed over to Settler's Park. My friend Jennifer was free, so she was able to meet us there. The girls ate...sorta, then went and played like little animals. Jennifer and I were able to catch up a bit. It was a good "SPRING-ish" day. :)

Bella's Pinning Ceremony

As mentioned in earlier posts, B Bop is in girl scouts. Last Thursday she had her first 'Pinning Ceremony'. Basically, it's where the girls have done something to earn a pin or badge for their vests. This pin was for the 'Thinking Day' activity they did a few weeks ago with the several ethnic lessons. She was so excited for it.

Cavity Free

The girls went in for their 6 month check up at the dentist last week, and as expected, they were both cavity free. The dentist was impressed with the girls and told them to keep up the good work. 2 of  Isabella's 6 year molars were in, so they went ahead and put sealants on them, and hopefully at the next appointment the other two will be and we will be able to put sealants on those.

Zoe's Birthday

We didn't do anything too crazy for Zo's birthday. We had pizza, cake and ice cream at nana and papa house. Uncle Bill and Aunt Tonya were able to make it all the way from Kalispell, Montana.

Nana and I decided that Bella is still a little too young to not have her feelings hurt by not having anything to open- so......Bella got gifts too. Just like 2-3 , and one was an early b-day present from Aunt Tonya and Uncle Bill.  On Bella's birthday, Zoe will receive some presents to open too.

Then the girls and I met Louie and his daughter, Rachel, at Pojos for some fun.  It was a blast. The girls rode the bumper cars repeatedly- laughing as they rammed into each other as hard as they could. Unfortunately, Zoe is too small for the bumper cars, but they do have a merry go round and she was able to ride that- Rachel and Bella of course enjoyed it too. They all played really well together, and we had a lot of fun.
