Give me some LIGHT
In an effort to lighten up my house, I am painting all my ceilings white. Right now they are the same color as my walls, which are a brownish color. My house is dark enough with out that. So, I stopped by the store today and grabbed myself two gallons of white ceiling paint to paint my living room. I am going to go S*L*O*W, and do ONE room at a time like a sane person. pictures soon friends.

Getting Crafty II
We made scarecrows. They're so ugly they're cute, and they need hats, but here they are....what a fun project to do with your kiddos! We had no leafs yet so we crumpled up newspaper and it worked just fine.

I also made a candy corn wreath. At work on Sunday I was looking at Halloween decorations on the internet and this popped up from that magazine womens world. super cute, and ridiculously easy!
First just get a styrofoam wreath. I just cut mine out of a square piece I had, but you can buy them for like 5 bucks at Hobby Lobby.
Then I wrapped it in wide masking tape to smooth the rough edges of the wreath and kind of give it a 'crinkled' look.
AND obviously then I glued on candy corn. You can glue them in any pattern you choose. I tied a black ribbon at the top and voila...there ya have it folks. super easy!

This is another super easy and ridiculously cheap one. I got this paper marche type unfinished banner from Hobby Lobby. It was 2.99, with 40% off. I brought it home and copied the letters onto some Halloween scrap booking paper I already had. Glued them on with Mod Podge and slapped a coat on top and once again folks it's magic!

Forebearance Plan
Looks like I get to save my house- by myself. That's so exciting. The lady at the mortgage place did the financials and they were able to work out a forebearance plan for me. I was really happy. The house is in a nice location and a safe neighborhood. It needs some work obviously, but, I think in time it will be a nice house. Plus we want somewhere stable for the girls.

Zoes first Ballet lesson
Zoe had her first ballet class a few weeks ago. Needless to say....she LOVED it. Sorry these pictures look so weird....they were taken through glass and there was a reflection because of the sun. Got some cute ones still though.

Ghetto Fab
Nana took the girls to the Farmers Market and they got their faces painted. Later in the afternoon Jason took them downtown and just walked around with them. He found some cool graffiti in one of the allies, so he took some cool pics of the girls for me.

Bienvenidos
Welcome everyone to my new blog....again! :) I know...making two blogs in one year after having the other one for two straight years is crazy, but life has changed so much that it seems appropriate to make a new blog. As a matter of fact, my life is vastly different now. It's just the girls and I.
The girls are doing fine. They have been staying with my mom for the last week while all of this went down. They will probably stay another week, just so things can get settled and a routine developed. We are all concerned first and foremost with the ladies, and want to make this as easy on them as possible.
This blog, like so many other areas of my life is new. I ask you to join me on this journey as I discover myself. There will be some great things and some bad things coming, I know that. I also know that everything happens for a reason and that this time next year, who knows where I will be. Keep checking back in with me and join me as I travel these bumpy paths called life.

Good Morning Dolls
Sometimes you just have to do little stuff to make your kids day...make them feel special. Today is one of those days. I picked up these two little Disney Princess folding chairs that the girls will love, plus two bottles of bubbles and two packages of those little capsule things you put into water and they grow into little animals. I put it at the bottom of the stairs so it will be the first thing they see when they go downstairs in the morning. I'm so excited to see their reactions......it's nothing fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but considering they're 3 and 5, I think it's right up their alley.

Ceramica
I thought it would be fun to take the little ladies to Ceramica. I used to loved to go there when I was younger, and knowing how much they like to paint, I knew they would love it. Last Friday we packed up and headed over to do something as a family. I did a coffee mug and the girls each picked out an animal figurine. Zoe got a unicorn because they didn't have horses and Bella got a dog. We had so much fun painting the pottery. You get as many colors as you want and they have stencils and sponges and all sorts of fun stuff. We all had a blast. I wann go back again soon, maybe sans the girls this time, and paint something cool, like a big platter or something. We get to go pick up our pieces tomorrow after they've been glazed and fired. I will post up some pics of our finished masterpieces!
