Aquarium

I took the girls to the Idaho Aquarium today.....AND-while I thought it was a little over priced- 21 dollars for admission and 10 for shark and fish food for each of the girls, it was pretty cool.

They let you put your hands in most of the tanks and pet the fish. One nipped my finger and totally freaked me out so that was the end of that for me, but the girls loved it. Bella ended up getting drenched by a shark after she was able to literally basically grab him.

It is rather small now, but they are working on getting a seal exhibit and some puffins and a few other things I think. They just got an octopus, but unfortunately it was curled up in a corner not doing anything while we were there.

On our way there. Yup, taking pictures of yourself while stopped at lights is the way to do it!

The green stuff is sea weed I think and it is to feed the fish. The dead little gross fish are to feed the sharks.

Bella feeding the fish.

Zoe feeding the fish. It scared her at first, but she eventually got the hang of it.

Nemo's

Bella getting ready to feed the sharks.

Zoe showing me her food. She was afraid of the sharks so she ended up just dumping them in the water.

Massive stingray

Moon Jellyfish. My camera sucks so it doesn't show this right, but they were in the black tank with like neon lights. It was pretty cool.

This fish with the swirley designs is crazy!

This iguana was HUGE!

Valentine's Day Creations I

I have been crafting like CRAZY lately. and since Valentine's Day is the holiday that is right around the corner, it is the one that is getting the most attention, although St. Patrick's Day is also getting a little, and my mind has been wandering to Easter.....

Anyways- here is a peak at some of the stuff I have made in the last day or so:

These are just 8x10 pieces of canvas- thin canvas- that I have glued fabric onto.  This love picture is similar to the one on BHG.

This is the Valentine's Day banner I made. It is made out of felt.

Leprechaun Trap

Louie and I made this leprechaun trap last night. It was a ton of fun! ;o) We got the idea from disney family fun. It was  super simple- you just take an oatmeal container and cover it in green felt. Decorate it with shamrocks, build a trap door in the lid of the container and construct a ladder and you're ready to trap you a leprechaun!

The girls LOVE it. All they have been talking about all day long is what they are going to do with this leprechaun when they catch it. They want to know how he talks and what he eats. Zoe wants him to live in their Barbie house. It's pretty cute.
